Spencer turns 6 months old

Our life has been very full lately. Spencer turned 6 months old this week. He now sits up, rolls over, likes to pull his sister's hair, put everything in his mouth and eat. He now weighs 20lbs. This means he has grown out of his car seat and into 12 months clothes. We are learning boys are very different than girls. Logann is getting to be such a big girl. She talks like a little adult now and it isn't always the stuff she should be repeating. Charlie and I are learning to watch our mouths, if we could just convince a few other family members to do so ( you know who you are). We took our first vacation with two children last week. We drove to Dallas (8 hours, yes we are crazy) for a continuing education program for Charlie and the kids and I visited with my Aunt Helen and Uncle Dave. The "best part of the trip" according to Logann was visiting Chuck e Cheese. She forgets to mention that she was scared of the mouse, but loved the "rides" and slides. Here are some recent photos.

Christmas 08 and early 09

Spencer is growing like a weed. He is now wearing 9 month old one piece outfits (yes he is only 4 months old). About two weeks ago he weighed 14lbs 12oz. (doubled his birth weight). He now giggles, smiles and coos. FINALLY he is in his own room sleeping, well most of the time. I get up one to two times per night to feed him. I am looking forward to a full night's sleep sometime in the near future. For those of you who know Charlie, he is equipped to sleep through a freight train in the middle of the bedroom. So, a crying baby is like music. You don't think he gets any trouble for that do you? Logann is continuing to amaze and amuse us with her comments and antics. The first thing she does every day when we get home is run to her bedroom, strip down and put on a ballgown along with accessories. We are enjoying the life of a family with two children and constantly wonder what we did with our lives before children. We hope you enjoy the photos.

Photo Shoot

Here are some of the photos from a shoot done just after Spencer was born. There were 120 photos and we could not narrow it down, so we had to buy the copyrights to all of the photos. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do. I will update the blog again soon. Merry Christmas!

November Update

This past month was busy and fun. We finally got our first snow on Thanksgiving night. As you can see from the photos, Logann is quite the snow bunny. She turned 3 on the 11th and acts much older than her age. She uses words like actually and mimics her mother way too often. When she scolds her dolly I look at Charlie and ask do I really sound that bad. He just smiles. Smart man!! Spencer now smiles, coos, says ah-goo and tolerates his sister. Logann's favorite thing to do is hold her brother while watching cartoons in our bed. She has also read him a couple of books. Spencer is pretty good about it, but definitely reaches his threshold and lets you know. There are a few photos of Logann with her cousin Caylee. She spent a morning with us while her big brother got his tonsils out. Logann is a fashionista... when she saw Caylee's outfit immediately went to her drawer and pulled out her identical one. She love to dress up and tells me when things don't match. Normally, she is right. We hope everyone has a great holiday season.

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween to all!

We enjoyed the holiday by trick-or-treating in our neighborhood. Logann kept asking if we could go to another neighbor's house. Spencer slept through most of the walk. He caught his first cold from big sister and mom. Unfortunately, it turned into an ear infection. So, he is on antibiotics for a week. So much for trying to keep him away from sick people!!
